The Libraries in Borås are closed but still offer limited services.

From 4 january the Libaries in Borås will return to offering limited service, which is stated in the text below.
New restrictions 2020-11-21
The Libraries in Borås will close on Saturday the 21 november and stay closed throughout 2020. The libraries will however still offer some limited services during this time period. After the extended restrictions were presented by the Swedish government at the press conference on 16 november we see no other way than to temporarily close down the libraries. Formally, the rule for gatherings with a maximum of 8 people does not apply to libraries, but the government considers the rule to be normative.
Libraries that are open during unmanned hours are also affected by this decision.
Although the libraries will be closed during this time period the staff still wants to give the best service possible. This means it is still possible to contact your closest library to receive help with literature so that you can make a pickup outside the library, a.k.a. Takeaway loans. And if you belong to a risk group and are unable to travel to the library in a noninfectious way, you are eligble for the Home Delivery service.
As long as the libraries are closed there will be no overdue fees and there will also be unlimited renewals on loans that have no reservations.

You are able to return media during service hours. And at Borås Public City Library there is an external return machine which can be used during closed hours.
