In this book Scotland Yard detectives Duncan Kincaid and Gemma James, now living together with three children between them, are drawn into separate investigations. Duncan starts to unravel corruption with multiple murders within the Metroplitan Police. The investigation puts himself, his family and colleagues at risk. In the meantime Gemma gets involved in a murder on a pretty girl found in a communal garden in Notting Hill. Gemma soon founds out that the girl's death isn't the first death in this exclusive London park. A few months earlier a little boy died in an accident. Or was it really an accident? More violence occur in the private garden and Gemma struggles to solve the murder before someone else is killed.
